The BBC has published a recording of what it is like to live with a boy with ADHD. In this 7 minute recording, there is an initial discussion amongst the reporters, and then we can hear a boy and his mother interacting. They have actually recorded ‘Craig’ losing his temper, and acting out.

A recent report came out of the UK that children with ADHD are able to ‘jump the queue’ if they are able to document their ADHD. The ‘Disability Discrimination Act’ states that leisure parks and attractions have to accommodate the needs of all visitors.

Shire is the company that brought Adderall, Adderall XR, Vyvanse & Daytrana to market. Although the head office is based in the UK, they do not have any ADHD products in the European Community.

Alison Powell read an article about Adult ADHD a year ago, and thought it sounded like her. She sought medical care -and was in fact diagnosed with the condition. She is now actively working to improve knowledge and awareness about the condition in the UK.

This week has been a busy week in the news for ADHD. A British TV show seems to have misinterpreted the conclusions from the multimodal treatment study. This has led to a media uproar about the fact that ADHD medicines don’t seem to work. (You can watch my youtube video on the ADHD Medicine story here).
