Coaching for ADHD: Million Dollar Study
ByIt was just reported that Dr. Sharon Field from Wayne State University will be leading a national study on coaching for ADHD in college students. This study will have a $1 million dollar budget.
The report explains, “The 27-month study will focus on coaching methods that would help college students diagnosed with ADHD in managing their time, studying for exams and writing assignments.”

I consider this to be a fantastic investment in ADD/ADHD treatment.
Many people experience the benefits of coaching for ADD/ADHD, however research for coaching in this population will give us specific answers. The research will not only show if coaching works, it will also show which aspects of coaching work, and potentially which variables are important to make sure coaching helps.
With more research, strategies and tactics can be improved. This will be a big benefit for everyone with ADD/ADHD.
