Do You Need Validation?
ByThis is a fantastic video of how powerful one can be when validating others. This video is extremely well done, and has a very powerful message.
Often with ADD/ADHD, people do not feel recognized and acknowledged. More often than not, they feel that people do NOT see who they are. They so often hear about how they’re not reaching their potential, ‘just try harder’, and other comments which impact on their self esteem.
Enjoy this video, and think about how you could use the principle of recognizing and validating others to help the lives of people with ADD/ADHD, and the lives of everyone else too.
And if you are an adult with ADD/ADHD, and you don’t have someone around that you can convince to start ‘validating’ you, then just try validating others for 2 days as an experiment… See what’ll happen.

Great Video! As they say, people become addicted to your attitude. If only we could stay happy with ourselves and remember that through it all, its all about being happy, truly happy. Hell, and if we can’t, then at least we can make someone else sport a grin

Keep up these great posts! This Video put a smile on my face
The video brought a smile to my face, some tears to my eyes and strength to my heart!
One thing you can also do is pat yourself in the back for a job well done. If you’re trying to achieve something or completing a task, something as simple as patting yourself on the back makes you feel a lot better.
For example I try building a website and a lot of times I just don’t want to do the work. If I setup a header or write a paragraph, I tell myself “great job for writing 1000 words” and I go off to pop open a can of sprite (my favorite soda). While I know this was about validating others, this is about how to validate yourself still so to those who are struggling, try validating yourself and treating /rewarding yourself for something in addition to what this video said (great video btw, very inspiring!), even if it’s something “small” because something is ALWAYS better than nothing at all.
