This is a great medicine for teens who cannot tolerate the other stimulants. My teenage son has tried all the stimulants but had way too much anxiety on them. The procentra is used only for high school and has been a godsend for reading and writing. ALWAYS start low especially for a young child. You can slowly increase but he is on so little that it should not work but it does.

Thanks for this. My son was 3.5 when they put him on this b/c his ADDADHD was so awful. Take a look at my Post. It basically turned him into a zombie…I cryed and believe me- lowered the dose- then instead of listening to the doctor. Did my own research and this is an amphetatmine!! I couldnt believe it. Ive always just took doc. word for it. Btu youknow what my son is better off being crazy and hyper than doped up.

Tried Procentra Oral on our 4 year old and it made him nap instantly. After reducing dose per doc’s orders he continued to be lethargic, unresponsive, basically so sedated tickling would not make him laugh. He would not eat and lost 7lbs in 2weeks which was awful being he was already in the 25th percentile and tiny. This made him focus TOO much where he would concentrate on the same toy for 3 hours- and when I would try to interact with him he would get aggressive and whiney. Due to his age doctor isnt sure what other med can be used safely. So I have discontinued his use SLOWLY as to avoid withdrawals until his doctors appt in a week.

I won’t mourn all that money spent on the inability to function, but it’s too bad we further tax our vital organs in this way. Simple way to save billions: stay away from white sugar and artificial colors and flavors. Your kids will calm down before it’s too late. If allowed to be distracted for too long, the brain and liver will be permanently damaged. The biggest brain and body bandit out there is orange dye. Immature livers are least capable of dealing with this demon, though adults will suffer less.

Read labels on foods, buy more natural foods, and I guarantee you will save money at the grocer, save the organs and lives of kids, and save money on doctors and medications. What’s there not to like about that arrangement?

liquadd is no longer avaliable. only procentra, its a liquid that is bubble gum flavored and fda approved for 3 yrs of age and up

this is a good thing and it is going to good for those who cant swallow pills it is and will be help full. I have a child it takes her 3 hours to swallow her pills so if this makes it eraser then i am 4 it

This is an amphetamine….
DextroAmphetamin sulfate….

And,it got approved by the FDA for three-year olds….

Am I missing someting here….
Go to the website of the manufactuer – pull up the package insert and read it….
It can cause hallucinations and delusions….and, we’re giving it in bubble-gum flavor to three year olds? !!!!

Has our country lost all reason and common sense?

well i have adhd and its not all that bad you people are really on your toes hasf the time trying to make different medicines and stuff why is one medication not as agood as another

LiquADD is a new formulation of Dextroamphetamine for ADD/ADHD, which will come in a liquid. It was just announced that the FDA has approved this medicine and it will be released in the US in the second quarter of 2008.
